Included in student tuition is a mandatory Student Activity Fee (SAF) of $35 each semester. The SAF supports many student activities, events, and projects to enrich the curricular and co-curricular experiences of all students.
What can $35 do for you? Here is just a sampling of what the Student Activity Fee provides:

- Career Services
- Student scholarships
- Commencements
- Student clubs and organizations
- Student Government Association

According to SUNY Policy: Student Activity Fees, a referendum must be held every two years to decide if the fee should remain mandatory.
The voting for the referendum was held from Monday, November 7 through Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Students voted to keep the Student Activity Fee (SAF) mandatory, with more than 67% of voters in favor of the referendum.
As a result, the SAF will remain mandatory until 2024, at which time we will hold another referendum.
