Pathways Transfer Program for Community College Students
Transferring from a community college?
Here’s some good news. At SUNY Empire, we make the process as smooth as possible for you — to not only transfer— but to complete your degree as well.
We partner with every SUNY and CUNY community college in New York State, as well as many nationally, to provide a seamless transfer into our bachelor's degree programs for community college students.
It’s called The Pathways Transfer Program. With The Pathways Transfer Program, we set you up for success. How?
- Providing resources and support to help you transition from classroom-based learning to online learning.
- Helping you transfer as many credits as possible so you can complete your degree ASAP.
Here are some more details about The Pathways Transfer Program.
Pathways Transfer Program benefits:
- Through SUNY Empire's 100% credit transfer policy, your entire associate degree (AA, AS, AAS) will transfer (up to 79 credits)
- Take optional courses at your community college during your first year at SUNY Empire
- Choose from more than 120 online undergraduate programs, 27 graduate programs and 29 advanced certificates
- Earn a nationally recognized SUNY degree
- Save money with low tuition rates
- Schedule courses around your work and life commitments
SUNY Empire will also provide the following benefits for transfer students from partner community colleges who have earned an associate degree (AA, AS, or AAS) or are in their final semester:
- Guaranteed admission to a bachelor's degree program
- A one-time $100 Better Together transfer scholarship
- Waiver of the $50 orientation fee
Please contact the transfer advisement office at your community college to get the transfer benefits code that you will enter on the SUNY Empire admissions application.
