The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) is offering scholarships for eligible Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASACs), eligible Credentialed Prevention Specialists (CPSs) who meet the existing admissions criteria to enroll at SUNY Empire and complete at least one semester toward the Bachelor of Science in Addiction Studies program.  Scholarships will also be available to individuals who are either providing addiction care (prevention, treatment, recovery, or harm reduction services) or are interested in working in eligible OASAS/OMH/DOH settings.  Such individuals are highly encouraged to apply. Scholarship funding will be made through OASAS’ Addiction Professionals Scholarship Program. Scholarship funding may be available to complete the entire degree program, and the $50 orientation fee for each scholarship recipient will be waived.  OASAS will prioritize staff working within the OASAS Provider System and certain OMH and DOH settings and CASACs and CPSs above other applicants.
