Meet With Your Mentor

At SUNY Empire, your faculty mentor is more than just an instructor—they’re your academic partner. Your mentor will guide you as you plan your degree program, choose courses, and navigate university resources. Together, you’ll map out a registration plan that aligns with your academic and career goals.

Register on MySUNYEmpire

Once your course plan is ready and registration is open, log in to MySUNYEmpire to secure your spot in classes. Registering early ensures you have access to courses that may fill up quickly and gives you time to finalize learning contracts, purchase textbooks, and prepare for the term.

To register:

  1. Log in to MySUNYEmpire.
  2. Click the Registration and Course Offerings button to enter the Self Service Banner system.
  3. Select the Register for Classes option to begin.

Registering also confirms your enrollment and your agreement to pay tuition and fees by the payment deadline. For more details, review our Tuition and Fees.

Find & Add Your Classes

After selecting your term, you’ll have several ways to find and add classes:

  • Use the Find Classes tab to search by course name or subject.
  • Enter a CRN (Course Reference Number) in the Enter CRNs tab to add specific classes. You can add multiple CRNs at once by clicking Add Another CRN and then Add to Summary.
  • If you’ve created a course plan using the Plan Ahead feature, add classes directly from your plan using the Plans tab.

Once your selections are complete, click the Submit button in the bottom-right corner to save your changes.

Confirm Your Registration

Review your course selections on the Schedule and Options tab. This view provides a detailed summary of your registered courses. From here, you can:

  • Email your schedule to yourself for easy access.
  • Print your schedule using the available buttons in the top-right corner.

Once confirmed, you’re officially registered and ready to start your term!
