Professional Training

Get credit for training, certifications, and other professional learning. We evaluate your work-based learning to determine how it applies to your degree program.

Standard Exams

Earn credit by passing standardized exams such as CLEP and DSST. These exams let you demonstrate your knowledge and skip courses in subjects you already understand.

Your SUNY Email

Your university email is the main way we communicate with you. We send important updates about registration, payments, academic support, events, and more.

Check your email regularly using your SUNY Empire login (firstname_lastname###@sunyempire.edu). We also offer an easy option to forward your university email.

3. Submit Immunization Requirements

If you plan to register for six or more credits, you’re required by the State to submit documentation of immunization. Find out more about these requirements and submit your documents. This must be done before you register for courses.

4. Register for Classes

You’ll receive course recommendations via email three to five business days after you complete orientation. Our advisors make these recommendations based on your transcripts, orientation questions, and available courses.
