The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) notifies SUNY Empire State when a registered sex offender is enrolled at the college. Under amendments to Megan's Law, adopted to comply with the Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000, colleges and universities may disseminate to the campus community information about registered sex offenders.
The below are individuals who have been identified by DCJS as Level II or Level III Registered Sex Offenders who are registered/employed by SUNY Empire:

By law, a sex offender has protected rights to pursue an education. The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000 guarantees sex offenders the right to attend classes, as long as they notify proper authorities.
