Commencement Closet

Hoping to attend commencement, but have no regalia? We've got you covered!

Empire State University Commencement Closet loans gowns, caps and master’s hoods. We even take care of laundering the garments before and after your event. The cost? Nothing. We simply ask that you return the robes after commencement so future students can benefit from them, as well. Students who borrow regalia are welcome to keep their cap and tassel.

The request form for Winter 2025 Commencement Closet is now closed. If you submitted a request, you would have received a confirmation email. The Commencement Team has notified all students who have requested regalia.
