Designed for K–12 teachers, higher education faculty, and learning designers, this program supports AI fluency and responsible innovation in a wide range of learning

AI in Education
MIC
This microcredential is built from two existing graduate courses in SUNY Empire’s M.A. in Educational Technology and Learning Design program. Both courses include AI integration and emphasize project-based learning, giving you hands-on opportunities to apply what you learn in real educational contexts.
To help connect the two courses and strengthen continuity across the program, students
complete an introductory module included in both courses. This module includes freely available, continually updated AI resources from options such as ISTE, IBM SkillsBuild, Google, Microsoft Training, and Coursera, supporting skills development throughout the microcredential.

EDET 6130 — Teaching and Training in Online and Blended Environments (3 credits)
EDET 6155 — Artificial Intelligence in Educational Technology and Learning Design
(3 credits)

Stackable pathways
This microcredential is stackable to SUNY Empire’s Advanced Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Training with Technologies, and both can be stacked into the full M.A. in Educational Technology and Learning Design.
