Master of Arts in Social and Public Policy
Earn your M.A. in Social and Public Policy online and prepare for a career in government,
nonprofits, or advocacy. This flexible program builds your skills in policy analysis,
research, and communication so you can shape policies that improve lives and strengthen
communities.
Students in the M.A. in Social and Public Policy program must take 5 core courses,

in analysis, research, and communication so you can lead confidently and create lasting
change.
Jason Russell is a Professor in the School for Graduate Studies. His research interests are on work, labor, and capital
in the 20th century. He holds a Ph.D. in History from York University.
Tally earned her Ph.D. in Sociology and M.A. in Philosophy, both from the New School
for Social Research, and has a B.A. in government from Cornell University. She achieved
the rank of full professor in 2007.
