Anthony Amiano is the Deputy Chief of Staff and Presidential Communications Director at SUNY Empire. He joined the university in November 2023 from Wiley and has worked in higher education and public affairs throughout his career. In his current role, Anthony oversees government relations and manages the president’s external communications and engagement in alignment with the university’s strategic plan. He is a former elected member of the Valhalla Board of Education and is currently a trustee for the Westchester Library System. He earned a master’s degree from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College.
