1. Generous Transfer Credit Options
If you’re transferring from another college, we got you covered. We offer generous transfer credit options to help you finish your degree.
Here’s the details.
Associate Degree Transfer Credit:
- Up to 40 credits can be transferred (64 credits required for associate degree; 24 credits must be taken at SUNY Empire).
- Credits with letter grade of C- and above are eligible.
Bachelor’s Degree Transfer Credit:
- Up to 93 credits can be transferred (124 credits required for bachelor's degree; 31 credits must be taken at SUNY Empire).
- Credits with letter grade of C- and above are eligible.
- If part of a completed associate degree, credits with a passing letter grade (D or
better) may be eligible.
Note: We also transfer 100% of credits from our partner community colleges.
Master’s Degree Transfer Credit:
- Up to 12 graduate-level credits can be transferred.
- Credits with a letter grade of B or better are eligible.
- Credits must be less than six years old at the time of admission and must logically fit into your degree program.
